Why Alcohol Calories Are Easy to Underestimate

Alcohol contains 7 kcal per gram, more than protein and carbohydrates (4 kcal/g each), and almost as much as fat (9 kcal/g). A night out with 3 glasses of wine and 2 pints of beer adds approximately 800–1,000 kcal, the equivalent of an entire additional meal.

Alcohol and Fat Loss: The Mechanism

How many calories are in a pint of beer?

Are spirits low calorie?
